An Nuon began his tenure with Sound Football Club (formerly Greater Seattle Surf) as the Associate Boys Coaching Director after serving four successful years with Northwest Nationals as the Outreach Coordinator and Age-Group Coordinator for younger boys.

A local product of the area, An graduated from Cascade High School winning a AAA state championship in 1995. He then elected to stay in-state and played college soccer at Seattle University. As a freshman, An lead the team in assists and helped the Chieftains win a men’s collegiate national championship in 1997.

An currently holds a USSF National “B” license. In his 15 years of coaching he has been with Emerald City (ECFC), Eastside FC, Crossfire and Northwest Nationals. An is also the 2013 and 2014 Northwest Nationals Boys’ coach of the year.

While at ECFC, An had the privilege of coaching Seattle Sounder and US National Team defender DeAndre Yedlin from U10-U13. He also earned Coach of the Year honors for ECFC in 2005.

Outside of coaching, An was a teacher at The Northwest School for 10 years. He transitioned to coaching full-time in 2008, but continues to substitute teach. He currently lives in Seattle with his wife Danielle and their two crazy dogs.
